What: Two full days of instruction for beginner and intermediate riders. Maximum of 6 people per course.

How much: ​$455 + GST (Snowmobile rental is extra)

What you'll learn: 
  • Getting comfortable with loading/unloading your sled
  • Basic maintenance and pre-trip inspections
  • Making a trip plan, checking the avalanche forecast, route finding, and group communication
  • Riding skills: getting on edge, side hilling, riding in deep snow, wrong foot forward

What you need: 
  • Warm layers (some standing around in snow)
  • Warm winter boots
  • Winter gloves (mittens tend to reduce control of the snowmobile)
  • Lunch and drinks (for both days)
  • Backpack
  • Goggles / eye protection. 2 sets are recommended
  • DOT or SNELL approved helmet if you have one (let us know if you need one and what size S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL)
  • Avalanche gear if you have it. (Let us know if you need a set, $30 to rent)
  • Emergency communication device/locator if you have one but not necessary as the instructor has one
  • Mountain snowmobile at least 600cc and at least a 153” track (Let us know if you need to rent one, $700 for both days, includes gas, oil and insurance)
  • Spare drive belt and spark plugs for your snowmobile
  • Any other miscellaneous items that you would snowmobile with (ex. Tool kit, tow strap, folding saw, spare socks and gloves)
